At Holiday Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach S-Harbourside, guests praise the friendly staff, family-friendly amenities, and walkable location near the beach, while noting dated rooms, inconsistent housekeeping, maintenance problems, occasional noise, and added fees.

Families like the adjacent water park, mini golf, marina views, and on-site restaurant with live music, though the pool can feel small and occasional closures or elevator outages disrupt plans. We had an amazing stay there. It was a great price for a hotel with a balcony, 2 floors, and a huge kitchen. The staff was really friendly. The front desk guy Russ was amazing and so helpful. Guests get free tickets to the splash park there. Everyone had an amazing time. We will definitely be back.

The staff was wonderful, always polite and accommodating. Facilities on property was very nice, including restaurants, Bars, Mini golf, ect. Parking was hard. They have under building parking and it was hard to park there. Always full and it was so hot outside that my chapstick melted all in my cubby. When splash park closed parking was easier.

When we arrived there the water park was closed. We tried to get in the pool and was asked to leave. We were also asked to give up our chairs. It smells of fish. I spent extra for what was supposed to be family friendly hotel. I could have stayed somewhere else. For a holiday inn property I was actually disgusted. I will never book with them again.

Great hotel with lots to do! Room was great but the fridge wasn’t working, alerted front desk and they were speedy with a response and solution. The beach is within walking distance, the pool was nice, the restaurant and live music was enjoyable and it was really fun to watch the big boats come in and out!

We stayed here for a night before heading to Tampa Airport to fly home. This hotel is a neat place and not what one would expect from a Holiday Inn. We rented a 1 bedroom suite with a marina view. The beds were comfortable. The pool and hot tub were crowded, not warm enough and way too small for the size of the hotel. It was also not monitored and tiny children were riding bikes around the pool and going in the hot tub, unsupervised. We were not comfortable at the pool and hot tub area at all. The hotel did provide 2 free passes to the small waterpark next to the hotel, which our young adult kids enjoyed. There is a putt putt at the hotel under the roof and a fun restaurant that had music and as well as a gift shop. Just 2 blocks to the beach and many shops! The down side of the hotel was the furniture was tired and old. The bathtub was old as well. The room needs a refreshing but we did enjoy our stay.

We rented a room from this property to enjoy the swimming pool when we got to the property we were told the pool had been closed for one to two months. We would not have rented if that was the case. It was very misleading. We were not told about the swimming pool being closed and extremely disappointing.

I will say it’s perfect for families. However they really need to update their rooms. They’re old and the ac units looked very old and it wasn’t very clean with various stains everywhere. The location is fantastic . They just really need to do room renovation !

Due to the beautiful beaches in the area we wanted to extend our stay for 2 more nights, we went down to the front desk and the female desk clerk looked up our room and said that we had to call Travelocity to book it, since we had used them first. No problem! I asked if we could have the same room,I didn’t mention this, but I’d bought cleaning products and cleaned this room, I didn’t want to change rooms and have to clean again. We called and paid over $700 for this room, which was steep but fine, again we love the area. As we are gathering up our stuff for the beach the phone rings and it’s Mario, the villain of the story, he informs us that we can’t stay in this room, we must move. After a call back to Travelocity and her calling the hotel we decided to cancel! He was rude and had no interest in whether we were a return guest or not, we will NOT ever be. We found a beautiful cottage closer to the beach, 150$ cheaper, AND it was CLEAN!! Unfortunately, I can’t find a place to attach photos or I would happily show pictures of the very high ceilings and the mold along the seams. It appears they had a leaky roof and never killed the mold. The freezer had a grocery bag stuck to the ice maker with what looked like a “human finger!” Don’t panic, it was a sweet potato fry. I used bleach and a fork and got it loose. It took awhile to clean, but I still refused to use the freezer. The toilet and shower weren’t clean, prior to our stay. There were no utensils, dishes,or cookware.

It could’ve been cleaner. There was hair in the drain and peoples old soap in the shower. There was hair in the jetted tub.. I had to clean the bathroom before getting in the tub or shower.. it was gross. There was hair in bed. So I slept on my blankets that I brought (thankfully I brought them with me) the alcohol they served barely had any liquor in it and I got the $20 bucket. It was a waste of money.. otherwise.. the stay was overall okay..

The room was clean for the most part however the tops of the drapery cornices were extremely dusty and visible from the loft bedroom. The furniture is beat up, scratched and falling apart. There was an abundance of mold and mildew throughout the bathroom, bedroom and other living areas. Obvious staining on the ceilings from water leakage. Bad scuff marks on doors, walls and woodwork throughout. Water would not properly drain in the shower. Toilet kept running and filling up throughout stay. Exterior paint peeling and bubbling everywhere you looked. Carpets could have been cleaned but in reality should be replaced. Corners where walls and ceiling meet are bubbling and coming apart from leaks and moisture. The final issue was the desk clerk when checking out (Natalia or Natalie) I believe was her name. Very rude, very short tempered and when a member of management mentioned something about a server update she rolls her eyes and mutters something under her breath in front of guests. Would not give me a full receipt of my charges for my stay, I only got the last page that had the resort fees on it. She stated she couldn’t give me a full receipt when I saw it plainly in her hand. Even if the folio had closed out she could have made a copy but it seems that would have been too strenuous for her to handle. I have never had a bad experience at an IHG hotel and I don’t believe I will be staying in one again. Overall experience 4/10.

Property and staff are great, My complaint is I reserved a room with a private balcony and a marina view. What I got was a private balcony with a parking lot view. When I told the front desk and showed them my reservation reseat they told me the rooms with marina view were sold out and there was nothing they could do. This feels like a bait and switch scam so buyer beware. Call and confirm directly with the hotel before your arrival because apparently computer scheduling is faulty. I never even received a notice that my reserved room was not available. Very disappointed.

They kept texting asking about our stay and I asked for extra towels (we had 6 people in a suite and they only provided 4 towels) and it took a day and a half to get the towels to us. Housekeeping didn’t come for the second day of our stay for our requested room refresh. They then had an advertisement that IHG members had the benefit of a free late check-out and when we asked we were told that we couldn’t check out just 30 min late because housekeeping didn’t approve it.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Front Desk staff (especially Julia and Nick) were absolutely amazing. Room was exactly what we expected. Nice addition of an 85" Samsung UHD brand new TV on the wall. (I was told that not all of the rooms have these yet.). First was in the sunset view room, which was a bit loud since it overlooks the driveways. Marina view room was much quieter. Especially loved the full size balconies. Great place to stay.
