Rooms are kind of old, especially the bathroom; but very spacious and clean. Staff very polite, they even wrote a hand note with my name to welcome me.

Can't recommend The River Inn too highly! What an absolutely wonderful place to stay, especially if you have pets. SO pet friendly! Unbelievable value for what you get - HUGE rooms, well appointed, super comfortable, and everyone is so nice. We will be back!

Rooms were not cleaned very well one night. I woke up and found a cockroach walking across the floor came back from a Day Out and found small roaches dead in the bathroom. 1 day there was no refill on coffee pods. Another day there was no Creamer. There was a strong odor in hallway of mildew and weed. And the first two nights , the a c was not really cool the room.

Stayed here while recovering from an outpatient surgery in GWU Hospital, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was quite spacious, and the kitchen was really helpful for keeping food costs down as well and keeping ice packs cold for swelling. Everything was really clean and the closeness to the Foggy Bottom metro stop was really nice for getting about the city. Honestly the closest thing to bringing our home to DC with us!

We didn’t need a kitchen but came on a busy wkd so places we’d normally stay that slept 3 adults were booked. It was fine but I don’t get all the 10/10 ratings. The place was perfectly serviceable, basically clean but showing its age in places (wallpaper starting to separate, toilet roll holder very loose, old analog thermostats that were hard to read, blinds that were hard to open, etc.) Staff were very nice. Used the valet to park our SUV l, no issues there.
