The hotel was undergoing renovation during my stay so some amenities were not available. The pool was closed and the fitness center was temporarily located in a couple of rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very quiet, especially on the east side away from the street. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept very well.

The good: Quiet hotel, convenient location to Golden/Red Rocks, bar/restaurant in the hotel, free parking, cozy bed, nice bathroom. The bad: The room we stayed in had not been renovated yet (we were told it was undergoing renovations when we got there). The halls had exposed wiring and the room’s wallpaper was peeling. The ironing board was so old and crusty that it dropped flakes all over the floor. The tea packets by the coffee were very old and yellowed/crinkled. Pillowcase had mascara stains. It was priced as if it were a renovated hotel, but it was not. It wasn’t awful, but we would find somewhere else to stay next time.

When we arrived WIFI was down, POOL down, ICE MACHINE down, Restaurant semi-open at 7pm - could only take cash because WIFI down. Ordered 2 different Appetizers but they were out of both and sent back terrible rice dish. Front desk was rude, unhelpful and incredibly aggressive. Management the next day was sympathetic, I was to stay 5 nights but barely made it one night.

While we were made aware that the hotel was under construction, we were told the pool would be open. Upon arrival we found it wasn’t! While not a concern for some, we booked it based on the pool for our kids and were really disappointed! However the staff was wonderful at the front desk!

The Sheraton is perfectly fine, but nothing remarkable. It was clean and comfortable. I don't recall seeing any information prior to booking about renovations taking place, which would have been nice to know in advance. Fitness Center and other amenities were relocated for the renovation. The biggest positive is the relatively quick and easy access if you're planning to head west on 1-70 after your stay.

The property is definitely in need of an update. It seems like everything is falling apart. I had to have maintenance help me into my room twice because the electric lock stopped working. The diverter on the tub didn't work so more water came out of the faucet than the shower head. Also, housekeeping was very inconsistent. They came twice during my 5 day stay. I like to work out in my room and when I got near the floor, I could see that the carpet was not vacuumed. The bathroom mirror was gross too. The restaurant food is okay, but the very sweet waitress that works there in evening is alone during very busy times. Most people were patient with her, but not all. The security lock on my door didn't work, which is a big deal as I am a woman traveling alone. My second stay was worse than the first. I won't be back.

Room was not the cleanest. A towel was missed by housekeeping so a dirty towel still hanging on the back of the door in the bathroom from previous guest. There were little splatter stains on the headboard and wall. This location is under construction so hopefully they will also be redoing rooms but the bathrooms were pretty dated and not totally clean as well. Check in staff was friendly, great parking, and great location… overall just some cleanliness issues.

Checked in around 6pm was put in a room on 3rd floor with such strong Oder of dog urine. I left room immediately asked for another room was then put in another room on 3rd floor same issue strong Oder of pet urine. I complained again. I ended up having to go to store to buy air freshener to use during my 3 night stay so the smell was better and I could bare with it. Also the curtains were very dirty and broken I could not open them because of being broken. Also there was blood on the glass of picture hanging in bathroom which was super dangerous.n Also to top it off my last night the people on our floor that were across from us at 2 to 3 in the morning were fighting, cursing badly and yelling so loud I had to call down to front desk well the police ended up coming as well totally ridiculous at 3am. I asked for a breakfast voucher one of my mornings during stay and was told no even after all this happening and my complaints about the room I wasn’t even offered a 16 dollar breakfast voucher and told no. Worst stay ever and I actually really like it at this hotel and stay there often. I guess just don’t stay on the 3rd floor.

There was a leak in the lobby ceiling and afterwards a funky smell. The hallway carpet had a large stain but otherwise very clean. Coffee in the lobby was always available and kept neat and well stocked. Due to restoration the pool was closed so that was disappointing. Location is right off 6th Ave so easy access to everything. Plenty of easy parking and multiple dining options within a few blocks. A very safe area and would definitely recommend

It was very difficult to sleep in our room in the middle of the night. The thermostat would only go down to 70° and we also had a south facing room, so the sun heated up the room during the day and with the air conditioner only working to 70°. It did not make our room very cool. Therefore, it was difficult to get a good nights sleep. I will be staying at another hotel for our next trip.

My wife and I had another great experience at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and welcoming. We always love staying here when we attend concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre — the location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff always make us feel at home. I found most everything at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel in Lakewood to be excellent. The (2) front-desk representatives were very nice and hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was very walkable and overall felt safe. My only disappointed was to discover upon arrival that the lobby and 2nd floor levels were being renovated, meaning that the pool and fitness center were restricted to guest access. In my opinion, this restricted access to these amenities warrants a discount to the loding expense.

The front desk was extremely rude. The only nice person we ran into was the waitress in the restaurant that did her hair like the 1950’s. There were dead ducks that my child had to see outside all over very sad and odd. Construction through the whole hotel the pool was not open and it was noisy.

The rooms need a little love. The staff was absolutely amazing. I didn’t have a phone in my room to order room service when I checked in. The front desk gentleman offered to move my room when I went to order. The bartender in the restaurant actually delivered the food to my room. Maintenance was sent up immediately to install a phone. I travel a lot and it was very refreshing to have such excellent service.

You are a block away from the Interstate, very close to the mountains. Everything was a 10 drive for us. We did Red Rocks, Meow Wolf and Casa Bonitas. Property had great food - you MUST try the green chili bowl! Their beer cheese was not good, though. It's dated but the beds were luxurious and we all slept great!

Hotel was under construction. Which was not disclosed prior to the reservation. The hotel was not clean and very dilapidated, communication of hotel service were very unclear and not available while staying at the hotel. All of the printed and posted hours of operation for the restaurant/bar were incorrect and changed each day we stayed at the hotel. Bathroom had a water leak issue, the main window of the room had a leak, it did rain on our stay and we woke up to a wet floor and one of our bags got wet. The room was very worn and beat up. Lots of scrapes, dents, material of the headboard was worn off. The ice machine was out of or order on the floor we stayed on. Would not stay in this location again unless the renovation was completed.

Overall stay was good. Hotel is going through renovations so certain areas were not being used. Checking In was fast and easy and lady at the desk was very nice and friendly. Room was clean, shower and bed was great. However because of the renovations, the restaurant didnt have everything on the menu and it was extremely limited. Didnt have most of what I asked for that was on the food or drink menu. Wish they would have marked out what they didnt offer - that would have been helpful. Morning of our departure - the free coffee offered in the lobby was empty that was also a disappointment. Overall a nice stay just wished for a little more attention to detail.

We were shocked to discover we were being charged $21.95 each for a basic self-serve continental breakfast—something we assumed was complimentary. No one attended to us, and when we went to leave, the guy clearing tables simply left a check for 5 buffet breakfasts at that outrageous price!! There was no signage indicating we would be charged for this low-quality food. The table was dirty, the offerings were typical buffet-style self serve scrambled eggs and pastries, and we could have walked across the street to Denny’s for far less—and better tasting. Completely overpriced and misleading.

Pros: 1. Comfortable bed, very quiet rooms. First hotel I haven't had to sleep with ear plugs.2. Staff was all super friendly and helpful. :) Cons: 1. All the soaps, lotions, etc. have such a strong fragrance it made me nauseous to use them. Please change these, they're awful! 2. The breakfast buffet is $20 and is exactly what you get for free at a cheaper hotel. This might be a deal breaker for our group.
