What guests think

Across mixed reviews of GreenTree Suites Eagle / Vail Valley, travelers like the practical kitchenettes, occasional quiet rooms, and friendly front desk interactions, but frequently report dated spaces, maintenance hiccups, inconsistent housekeeping, and noise from thin walls or nearby highway.

Air conditioning and hot water problems appear in multiple stays, and TVs, phones, locks, and Wi-Fi occasionally fail. Breakfast is often missing or very limited despite listings, and cookware for kitchenettes can be sparse. Expect a basic, no-frills stay where convenience trades off with variable upkeep and service.

Economic, quiet, easy parking/access. Terrible coffee maker. Check utensils if you plan on using kitchenette, as ours was missing quite a few basics. A note about your "safety feature" of having your stove hooked up to a timer would be nice rather than trying to figure that out by trial and error.

Made reservation through Travelocity to pay at check in, no reservation found when check in. Had to remake via online to get a preferred price. Front desk was helpful. Wanted to do laundry however coin operated and no change available, laundry detergent all sold out. Had to go down street to car wash for change and used dish soap to wash clothes, not the best set up.

Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Luckily we could open a window because cleaning solution smell was pretty strong. Location is great, close to interstate and bars and restaurants. I thought it wasa little pricey but all hotels were expensive. There's a little kitchenette with microwave and fridge.

No breakfast despite advertised. Our door didn’t lock, stains, even random rx pills found on the floor I had to toss so my kids didn’t get them… elevator was broken but instead of shutting it off they let it run the entire night opening and closing super loud. Would not wish this spot on anyone’s stay in such a beautiful area.

The extended stay has a courtyard with grills and tables. The staff does not enforce a quiet time for guests using this area. We had to call to let them know that the conversations and music in the courtyard were too loud at 11:30pm.

The room looked ok until I pulled back the sheets on the bed to find some stains, hair, a pube, and a candy wrapper. The phone had what appeared to be dried semen all over it. They gave me a new room which smells musty kind of like cigarette and mold mixture. All the dresser drawers were open which is weird. This bed also had filthy sheets, hair all over under the cover. The refrigerator has yellow liquid in the bottom and the phone in this room is filthy.

I was blindly charged a fee from GreenTree for "taxes and fees" after our stay. In talking with the hotel they claimed that they often times aren't reimbursed for taxes from hotels.com so they charge the card on file with no notification (we did go to the front desk to check out - they had an opportunity to mention this). As far as the rooms go, nothing fancy. Great if you like the smell of Fabuloso. My shoes stuck to the tile floor as I walked around the room. Mattress was uncomfortable. Doesn't feel like they vacuum the hallways. They were also short staffed and unable to man the front desk for guests during breakfast because they didn't have enough help.

Dirty luggage carts. Hair on linens. A/C rattling loudly. Dirty dishes. Filthy coffee maker. No vent in bathroom. Bathtub floor feels like it is going to cave-in. No breakfast or coffee as advertised. Fees charged to credit card with no explanation. General Manager cannot be bothered to respond to emails or concerns. This negative review could have been avoided if the GM would have cared enough to answer calls and emails. Terrible experience overall.

The hotel is centrally located and the staff are helpful. The room smelled awful like overdone cleaner or mustiness and the window had no screen on it to vent things without letting in bugs. The wall was missing a picture or something. The room was tidy and the air conditioning worked thank the gods. The room should cost about half as much ad it does but its ok if you need easy and less expensive for this area.

Ok the problem is the AC. I booked a 2 bed room suite for my family of 3 adults and 2 kids. It is July and it is Colorado but still it is hot. There were two tiny AC units which had some sort of thermostat problem. We all could not sleep until 3:00 am after opening two tiny windows and waiting for the weather to cool down. Bottom line this place is not good for summer conditions.

We love having the small kitchen in our room. This is our second visit to this hotel and it looks cleaner and more updated than our last visit. Overall, we would stay here again. It was a family road trip, had 4 rooms booked there,, we got to the hotel and no one at front desk we waited for about 20 minutes and a lady come out from the back, and started yelling at us that the WiFi was down and she didn’t know we were there, by then more customers had arrived, and said they had reservations and the desk clerk told them she didn’t care if they went somewhere else, just a totally unexpected situation, my son had a room there also, he actually ask if we were on candid camera, other then that the hotel is pretty nice, thank you.

For being "overbooked", they had one front desk person on that seemed inexperienced, taking about 10 min per customer to take ID then CC back to side room out of view. First room issued was occupied. 2nd room had lock deactivated upon arrival, and again after returning home from a morning out, where anyone could have walked right in. TV kept turning itself off, and occasionally back on, without our input. Very little dishes (no silverware) for a kitchenette. Tub was very creaky.

The staff was very helpful. We booked a handicap room and had issues with getting the right room. The staff was super helpful and fixed the issue. But, it was telling that the hotels own system did not define what rooms had what bathrooms to meet the accessibility needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. But things in general are in need of repair. Clear that this is a corporate / management issue. Great location and easy access. For the price, iffy.
