Just meh. Our room was in the "carriage house" which is laughable. It's a separate facility across the street with gated access, long flight of stairs to carry luggage, room wasn't ready when we arrived. VERY dated decor and functions - ancient HVAC that was either freezing cold or hot. Strange experience.

I stayed at Hotel La Rose in Santa Rosa and had a very upsetting experience. I paid $260 for two nights, plus a $100 deposit. I also paid $120 for the following night. My room was upgraded, and I was told I still owed about $57–$60 for the upgrade difference. I was gone most of the day and told them I would take care of the remaining balance when I returned. When I came back that evening, I was told I “didn’t pay” for the night, even though I had already paid. They locked me out of my room, refused to update my key, threatened to call the police, and said they didn’t want my service. The way I was treated felt very disrespectful and discriminatory. I’m sharing this because this really happened, and customers deserve to be treated with dignity, fairness, and professionalism.

Checked in at 4 and then asked did we get the email about the broken elevator. Email arrived at 4:12. They accommodated us by moving us across the street.

This is my second time staying here. Its a lovely historic hotel with lots of character, centrally located near downtown Santa Rosa. Having an attached bar/restaurant is convenient. Staying here feels like a trip back in time, in a good way!! Very clean rooms and comfortable beds!! The AC kept the room at a comfortable temp without being noisy. Possibly haunted, though I didnt experience anything on either of my stays, haha.
