The hotel was fine. Though advertised that it had a hotel shuttle be aware that it stops running at 9pm. I knew in Hawaii that Southwest was going to be late into Oakland and I needed a hotel with a shuttle. Unfortunately there was not a cab to be found and uber took forever. Besides that the cookie on arrival was nice. They had a typical continental breakfast.

Everything was clean, lobby, hallways, breakfast area. Would stay here again, Good value for price. Some carpeting a bit worn, but that did not affect stay. It is right on marina, with great walking paths and access to waterside. There are homeless, or appearing to be homeless, in parking lot at public park next door, on back side of property, so park in lot by front door. $18 daily parking fee. Other than observing some activity ftom windows, the hotel felt secure. Pool did not feel heated, and hot tub was not working. Early May, and it was still cool outside, so that was disappointing.This marina is always windy, so the plastic surrounding clear walls on 2 sides of pool did reduce the wind in pool area. Free breakfast was adequate, fruit, yogert, bagels, coffee.

The Marina Inn on San Francisco Bay is long overdue for a complete renovation. The hotel claims to be pictured in front of a beautiful marina and community, but in reality, the entire area has gone bankrupt, and the harbor and golf clubs have been waiting for repairs since 2023. The hotel is outdated and dirty. On our first night, we found bugs in our beds, and the mattresses, bathroom, and all the common areas are very old and worn out. I would not recommend staying here.

There is a restaurant next door that you can walk to. I've stayed at this hotel before and was pleased in the past but I was disappointed on this stay my bedding was not fresh. They need to get new bedding. It was worn and my pillow had a musty smell. Also, I never noticed in previous stays but noticed during this stay, the carpet felt damp under my feet. I'm not sure if it is from humidity or servicing. Again, I stayed there before and was pleased but this stay I was disappointed with the room.

Great area & wonderful view of the bay. I chose a “deluxe” room. For what I paid….yikes. Not worth the $144. This hotel could be AMAZING if they just spent some money & updated the 80’s decor & carpeting in the room. View cannot be beat. It is in definite need of some room updating.

Nice clean place. Felt safe compared to other areas of Oakland we’ve stayed. Staff was kind. Loved overlooking the old harbor and seeing and hearing the planes take off and land. Walls are paper thin, bring earplugs.

We enjoyed mostly everything and appreciated the welcome we received at check-in. We’re disappointed with the misinformation given to us before booking our reservations. I called twice to confirm your hotel offered shuttle service to SF airport, since it was listed as one of the hotels in the Bay Area. I was told by 2 different employee’s that the shuttle covered 3 airports including SF. We check in and find out it’s not the case, so unfortunately we have to pay $70+ for an Uber. Though it’s a cozy hotel, we wouldn’t have booked a night here if we were given correct information. Please let the answering service know the correct answer, I thought I was speaking to the front desk clerk, not an outside CSR.

Far from restaurants Far from SFO International airport $75 us.Uber Three cars cancelled because it is so far. Be aware that the airport shuttle is not to SFO but to Oakland airport not clear on Expedia web site and no cancellations even though it was done 2 hours after booking and a cold stern reception with a sign that says we are not obligated to offer you services. Hotel equivalent to a motel saving grace next to the marina and a beautiful walking/exercise walkway by the bay. .Fresh fruit, oatmeal and milk available as healthy options for breakfast. Imagine if the sign says we are here to serve you bliss by the bay and an apologetic response that they are unable to cancel however offer a good supper or breakfast that cost them 25 US dollars at most and be able to “catch a raw egg” with grace knowing the few who makes these errors will still walk away satisfied or simply go pick up the stragglers from SFO and/ or fix their ads so the error rarely happens.So many options to make this error into just another adventure or blissful stay for their clients. For now expect a cold reception with a sign that they rather fight you rather than receive you with grace.

Airport shuttle was not available but the front desk commissioned Uber drivers during the off hours.This was a nice service. Front desk personnel was friendly. The room was clean and the cleaning staff provided amenities, e.g. Keurig coffee/tea pods.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping had a consistently keen eye for anything that needed replenishing in the room from day to day (we stayed for a week), which was much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable; the small balcony looking over the marina was perfect for morning meditations. The parking lot was well lighted and had a guard at night, so it felt safe. We will be back! Thank you!

It was my second stay at Marina Inn, so I knew it'd be a lovely area, right next to the water. I experienced a slight hiccup with my reservation (my own fault), but the staff at the front desk was able to work with me to make sure that I could adjust my reservation. This was much appreciated after a long day, with another long one ahead.

This property sits nearly on San Francisco Bay near beautiful Marina Park. The park has a walking loop right on the bay. Its very nice. I had a room on the back of the facility on the second floor. The view was great. The Marina is no longer functional but the wildlife is wonderful. The facility is very clean and staff very nice. I appreciated the reasonable price.

The hotel was nice and clean. Very good location to walk around the park by the water. There are two restaurants walking distance as well. They have a free shuttle to take you places close by especially convenient to the airport. It took like 10 to 15 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.

It says that they have berths and the marina has lots to do, however, all the boats are gone and they closed the marina and there’s only two restaurants. No yacht club. Looks deserted. The video looks to have been made 20 years ago.

1. Misleading - When searched from SFO Airport, hotel shows Free Shuttle... but that is NOT there. Hotel Management does not honor what they have listed on Expedia. 2. Misleading - It is more than 1-hour drive from SFO. I had to pay 2-extra days for the rental car (> $ 120 cost, Uber asked $ 200 one way)) and multiple Tolls (> $ 32) to drive from SFO to/fro the Hotel. Hotel is hiding this fact. 3. NO Free Parking (Even SFO side Hotels provides free parking), but this hotel charged $ 18 per day for the open area parking. Again misleading to show the lower price (on Expedia) but charging in other ways. 4. Useless Breakfast, even cereals are packed in just half cups, No Eggs, No hot item, Not even the bread was there. 5. NO Drinking Water. They provided 2-small plastic bottles, and asked to pay for the 3rd bottle (we were 3-people and stayed 2-nights). 6. UNSAFE - Homeless people are walking and living around in the parking... while Hotel charged $ 18/day for the open area parking. NEVER Advise to take this type of hotel.

It stayed on website breakfast included.not even close, cereal and old fruit. I don't inspect a restaurant style but common some descent continental breakfast! Fresh fruits, berries,yogurt. Do it yourself waffles!! Some effort should be put in! Oh! this is my second stay, the beds are hard as rock! For a hotel that's been in business this long should be able to accommodate a descent mattress!

Nice place, For the nightly cost ...The breakfast should be better. Only having a few packs of instant oatmeal, Danishes , Cold cereal and a few pieces of fruit ...It's just not an adult breakfast. For the location and setting, Some scrambled eggs and potatoes would go a long way towards a higher rating and reviews. Overall i would definitely stay there again. But those things i pointed out would be my deciding factor going forward.
