A clean very friendly staff and front desk with comfortable large rooms in a great and safe area of La Jolla at a very affordable price parking is an additional $46 but you can unload in the front with a trolley cart. Bring up to your room get settled and park on the street and your vehicle will be safe as the area of La Jolla is to enjoy your stay with your family, we did. :)

Found hair in bathtub, empty conditioner bottle, bathroom outdated (at least 20 years old) and dirty bathroom floor. Disappointed. Will never come back there again!

The room itself is old and outdated. The foldout bed in the living room was cracking and peeling; and the mattress was all springs. There was a leaky sink issue that was discovered after the AC was turned on. The front desk asked us to put p Towels around the sink to stop the water from leaking everywhere, which we did. Maintenance came by the next morning to fix it and they didn’t call housekeeping to clean the room, which they said they would. We came back from a long day to the room still dirty. There was a weird situation with a housekeeper coming into the room when everyone was still asleep and freaking us all out. She wouldn’t leave after we told her no, no service right now, and kept repeating over and over that she didn’t understand. We were charged for parking when leaving the parking garage (that doesn’t have an elevator) and charged each night automatically on our final invoice. There’s honestly more but that’ll be in my email to the management. I’m just super disappointed with this hotel, we should’ve stayed somewhere else.

The problem is hotels (at least in California) are very over priced as well as restaurants. 50$ a night for parking hotel after taxes 300$ per night just does not justify the costs. Embassy suites are a good hotel but we will try Homewood suites next time and find a location away from La Hoya. Prices are ridiculous for this location

Stayed 5 nights

We arrived on a VERY busy weekend for the hotel, for a 5 night stay. Our room was above expectations. It was one of the most quiet rooms we have ever stayed in. We were told about a free breakfast on Sunday morning. To say it was chaos is an understatement. The buffet was wiped out and the "order" line was a 30 minute wait. I was so disappointed. It reminded me of a "carnival cruise" situation. HOWEVER! The next 4 days were fantastic. The food was delicious on both the buffet and the "made to order grill." The staff was excellent. Obviously the first day was not a good representation of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great location across from a very nice mall. Excellent staff who were very helpful.
