Super 8 by Wyndham Red Bluff

Hotel in need of refurbishment. The bathroom in the room we stayed in did not have ventilation and has a mold problem. The bathroom door was barely held together most likely due to the humidity. The carpet has not been cleaned and was leaving our bare feet black and requiring us to remain in our shoes to walk around. The ac was very noisy like there was plastic flapping in the vent every time it shut off automatically which didn’t help give a restful night of sleep. The room was also non smoking but still smelled like a smoking room. You could smell it even after airing it out. Had we not been exhausted from driving all day, we would have tried to find another place. Room was prepaid for and photos on hotel.com are not accurate. Unfortunately didn’t have a chance to take my own photos due to needing rest.

Clean and comfortable!

There wasn’t much I liked about the room. It was filthy. The carpet was beyond dirty. It had a horrible smell throughout. The staff was nice. That was the only positive. I do not recommend this facility!

Very clean and nice place owner I think that checked us in was very nice breakfast in morning was perfect not too much but not too little perfect for grab and go! I was very happy with how clean the room and everything was would definitely recommend this hotel and the price was great

Room was not maintained up to ode, walls had boogers wipes on it, carpet had bad stains.

The front desk lady was super friendly and helpful. Like many others, this was a quick pit stop on our journey. We booked cheap just to get a bed to sleep in for the night before hitting the road again. The beds were comfortable and the Lindene appeared clean. However the room itself smelt like a bad combo of mildew and marijuana. Once we cranked the AC, the smell got better and the room was more comfortable. It worked for what we needed but definitely not a 4 or 5 star place. Not sure about the area either. Not an upscale area by any means, so we made sure to bring in valuable from the car.

mold,smell bad. tv didn't work so was moved to another room. wimpy towels had 2 queen beds but only enough towels for 2. Beds and bedding in very poor condition. Annett was very nice and helpful.

Our stay was relaxing we had a good night sleep. Absolutely no noises around. The room was clean dust and dust free.

Sink in the room was disgusting!

This property is too old. Everything is old and dirty even the stain is broken. When I first came into the room , it smell bad.

The man who checked us in couldn't have been nicer, or more helpful. The room, though, was not only musty and quite dated (not bad in and of itself), and had 'extra' furniture in it; seemed like it was used to hold items from other rooms (chair, table, bench). The manual door lock was missing (the electronic one worked). TV was nearly impossible to figure out, and once we did, there were just three standard network channels. Every other channel had only informercials or QVC. Biggest problem, though, was the faucet handle in the shower was broken, so there was no hot water in the shower (!). There was hot water in the sink, but the shower handle could not be turned far enough into "H" to let the water get hot. We ran it for 20 minutes just to be sure; still luke-warm. We discovered this too late to change rooms. We just needed a place to rest on a long road-trip. It's good they do take dogs, for an extra fee; standard in most hotels. Too many things on the bad side of the scale for us to stay there again. If you go, just make sure the shower works before you unpack your bags. (There was construction going on in the rooms at the end of the row, so maybe things are being renovated, which would be good.)

The room was comfortable as expected but the toilet seat was broken, the towel rack was broken, the shower head was loose and falling off and I had to put it back on. The layout of the room was such that the table and chairs were packed in front of the heater cooler combination units and I had to move them out of the way in the middle of the night to turn the cooler off. The layout was all wrong. Seems like they just don't care, running a room with broken up stuff.

The host was very charming, thoughtful and helpful. Therewere many little things that needed to be repaired, but everything was functional. The beds were comfortable and the a/c unit's fan was great white noise to diminish traffic noise. The location was easy on/ off the freeway.

The only thing wrong was the TV took half an hour to get turned on and there were only two channels

When I entered my room it was HOT when I turned on the ac i waited 15 minutes sitting in the miserable heat and realized the ac was not working. The lady at the front desk was able to get me in another room but i wish they would turn the ac prior to people checking in to their room.

I loved staying at the Super 8 in Red Bluff and will definitely come back! It’s close to shopping and having an oversized room made it easy to get comfortable and enjoy my family.

The woman in the office was delightful. The room looked OK upon entry but carpet was filthy and full of what looked like pet stains. Beds were OK but badly needed newer linens. And bring your own pillows as these were like pancakes. Sheets were so old it was like sleeping on sandpaper. Room had a table but NO chairs. Very few electrical outlets. TV had lots of channels but none local so finding weather and traffic info was not possible. The Wifi was quite good. We were only there one night and it was fine for that.

Bed was not comfortable and was dirty at head by wall. More options at breakfast even if you take back to room. Needs updated.

Beds were like sleeping on concrete, there were tree debris in the bed, the AC/Heater did not work properly and was flashing that it needed maintenance, TV did not work, a lot of noise outside from guests. Just to name a few.

I booked the room the day before and called to request a downstairs room and the man was kind of rude but said he would put a note in the reservation. When I checked in the next day I had been given an upstairs room but the woman at the front desk was so pleasant and made sure I got a downstairs room and it was perfect. I will definately stay there again.

Staff was professional and polite.

It’s an older motel , but the lady who runs the office was an extraordinary person. She was very easygoing, no judgement or hate in her eyes. Just a super nice person who made us feel comfortable to be there. I’d trade her and her laidback motel over a posh, 5star palace any day of the week!

Drove from Florida. This is the worst hotel in the US. The dim lighting is just bright enough to see the black mold growing on the walls and ceiling. The moldy smell only begins to mask the stale cigarette smoke after dark. The rooms are cramped and cluttered with old crusty furniture. Can't even access one side of the bed. The furniture is made of porous fabric and clearly something is growing in there. The mattress sinks in the middle. Toilet doesn't flush. TV had a faulty speaker and makes an awful screeching noise. They also have a rude slum-lord. I arrived early; and he started knocking on my car demanding I identity myself. He then got me checked in; but chased me across the parking lot demanding extra cash for my tortoise who was inside a cage.. (No other hotel in the US cared about him; but he chased me down in the parking lot demanding money).. I am not picky about hotels. But I nearly opted to sleep inside my tiny car that night. Checked out early. The lady working there the following morning was wonderful and much more welcoming. She was the one bright spot to the worst hotel in the US.. Booked an even cheaper hotel across town; and absolutely love it.

A friendly and nice hotel personnel (owner) in the front desk. Quiet and safe area to stay. Clean and nice hotel with a simple breakfast (to go).

Didn’t feel like a safe location. Had to book last minute

We arrived at night and wanted sleep after a long drive. We went into the room and it was an oven. The thermostat said it was 91°. There was a wall AC unit and it took 30 minutes to cool the room down to an ok temperature. The room was clean but the bedspreads were old and worn out. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. We selected this room for the breakfast included to save time in the morning. That was a joke. There was quaker oatmeal, Twinkies, hostess cupcakes, sugary granola bars, yucky apples and cuties oranges. Not a single protein. Not even boiled eggs or yogurt. We were in a hurry, but had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Breakfast was good

The one thing I did like was resyaraunts were close by. They said they had a continental breakfast, but that consisted of orange juice, coffee and ding dongs. The walls in the room were dirty and the door lock was broken. Wouls nor recommend this place

The room has a very strong smell of cigarettes or dampness. The breakfast they offer is very poor, just coffee, juice, and apples. The pillows are very high and hard.

The room was clean and in good condition. The price was very reasonable and included a limited breakfast (Doughnuts, oatmeal, coffee, and juice)

This is the worst breakfast I have ever seen in my travel experience! Stay and place was okay but , Tea pot was dirty barely they stack up,breakfast was from dollar store!

Breakfast was simple: coffee, milk, orange juice, oatmeal packets, packaged donuts, granola bars, oranges & apples. The place is right behind the 5 south on-ramp, super convenient. Our room looked nice, the bathroom had some badly patched walls but it was fine for the price.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast, however, could be enhanced easily by adding a waffle cooker.

Was a great place to stop for the night. Price was right. B’fast was almost non existent. My only disappointment.
