Stayed 2 nights

We had a good stay at Hawthorne Suites. Pros: I loved the couch, the extra blanket, the large refrigerator and freezer, and especially, the walk-in shower! I also felt warmly welcomed at the reception desk. Cons: We had ants in the bathroom and kitchen—not a huge infestation, but enough to be unpleasant. I reported it to the front desk, and was told they would see what could be done. Apparently, nothing, because the ants were crawling on me later that night. Also, our key cards stopped working after our first day when we were there for two days. The front desk staff fixed the key cards easily, but it was inconvenient to have them not work when we were juggling bags and other things, trying to use a useless key cards easily.

Staff was nice. Lobby pretty clean. They are remodeling/updating. Room could’ve been cleaner, vents & A/C were dusty. Cobwebs on some corners. Kitchenette did not have service for 4. Gym was ok. Breakfast was varied & ok. Pool & hot tub were ok, stopped going in when I saw homeless jumping fence & getting in. They allow homeless to sleep in their vehicles in parking lot, saw them at breakfast too & I think they were using the laundry also. Location was convenient to highway

The rooms are clean as well as the common areas. The pool seemed clean but there are many ground squirrels around the pool that are very noisy. You also are around the smoking area and the trash. The bed frames BITE ! The corners are pointed and very sharp... Im still healing from bumping into them. The shower doors open periodically during your shower, easy to put something under to stop. There are no shelves to put anything on in the showers. There is a lot of questionable activities in the McDonalds parking lot next door. The parking lot at night can get sketchy and nobody does anything about it. Breakfast is handed out. The only thing you can access yourself are the muffins and things like that and NOT MANY folks use tongs. The bed is SUPER comfortable and the TV gets lots of channels. Close to Highway 50.
