We stayed here for our anniversary. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special weekend was overshadowed by unresolved maintenance issues and a lack of communication. Shortly after arriving on Friday, we noticed a strong sewage odor coming from the shower. We reported it Saturday morning, but despite reporting it again Sunday, the smell remained throughout our entire three-night stay. The odor spread beyond the bathroom into the bedroom/living area and repeatedly woke us during the night. We also had issues with the TV and AC. The TV didn't work so we called, and although we were told someone would come by, no one followed up. The AC also did not cool the room properly, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. The most frustrating part was the lack of follow-through. We repeatedly reported the problems, yet staff members seemed unaware of previous complaints. No one proactively updated us, checked whether the issues had been resolved, or offered to move us to another room. We had to repeatedly approach the front desk ourselves. We understand that maintenance issues can happen, but we expected the hotel to take ownership and find a solution once the problems were reported. There were some positives, including the blackout curtains and gym, and we enjoyed Oakhurst. Overall, we left disappointed. A persistent sewage odor, poor cooling, a malfunctioning TV, and repeated communication failures significantly impacted what was supposed to be a memorable anniversary

We enjoyed our stay while visiting the lake and Yosemite. Room was a great size and clean when we checked in. It was nice to have a hotel not so crowded to three or four other properties. Bed was too soft for me but family enjoyed it. :) The automatic curtains were a nice touch. Housekeeping missed our room one day but the front desk staff was willing to help out with needed supplies and ensured our room was cleaned the next day. Housekeeping did a great job. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other looking for a nice, clean, affordable place to stay while visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake.

We were told there was a problem with overbooking and that there were no rooms available even though we hád made our reservation months in advance. One of the recepcionists was rude and didn’t seem to care at all.
