Hampton Inn Milpitas

The elevator malfunctioned three of the four times we used it. At around 7:45PM on 12/27, I tried to call the front desk to report the latest issue, but phone rang repeatedly with no answer. We hand carried luggage from 4th floor rather than get stuck on the elevator.

It was nice that the hotel is renovating and the room was very new and clean.

I love this hotel! Great breakfast, friendly staff, safe and easy parking! Pool for the kids! Win win!!

The property has great amenities, the continental breakfast has a good variety. Great location for easy access to the freeway.

This is a good stay with great room and service although it's during the renovation period so noise started from 8am in the morning.

The lobby was a bit too warm (hvac issue?) and there was a large metal storage container in the parking lot.

The best thing I like about this property is that it has coffee and fruits all the time. This is especially helpful when you work to a late time and can't find food anywhere else. 2 things need to be improved: 1) WiFi is too slow, 2) it takes too long to get hot water when taking shower.

Our room thankfully was clean however the hotel water was not running at night for both night stays. I had the faucet running for 20 minutes with no warm temperature change. The air in the room did not work the first night as well. When I notified the staff the asked if we wanted to move but. Y this point it was 8/9pm the 2nd night and we were just returning to the hotel. We have two toddlers so it was much more work to move so we stayed. I was hoping to talk with the front staff when we checked out, but of course no one was available and there was a sign to just leave our room keys.

Every was very good, but the Internet was very poor; both slow and inaccessible.

My room was on the side of the building that boarders an offramp and the highway. Lots of car noise. Also, the bathroom light is automatic and super bright, with no way to keep it off. Very annoying in the middle of the night, when the nightlight in the bathroom was fine.

clean room, friendly staff, location but i don't like the automatic sensor light in the bathroom.it went out while taking a shower, and on during the night .I always bring my night light in the bath ..the bright light interrupt sleep. the bath floor is slippery. should put a mat.

I absolutely enjoyed the stay here! I was booked for 2 nights and based on the photos I've seen, it seems like everything got renovated so I didn't see the colorful carpeting. Check in was relatively easy; had everything booked and paid for prior. Front desk staff was very friendly with each person I've encountered. The room itself was amazing; very spacious and had a lot of shelves/counter space than expected. The bathroom had motion sensored lights but the only caveat was if taking a long enough shower, it may turn off. I love the giant mirror and how bright the bathroom itself was. Got a king bed and by far, one of the best beds I've slept in for a hotel/inn. Even the blanket/comforter was kept us warm on the chilly nights. Didn't use the TV much, but there was no HDMI port to hook up a laptop. Maybe it was it the back but the TV was mounted. Breakfast was standard; sone kind of protein (sausages), potatoes, and eggs. There were cereal options, oatmeal, fruits, yogurt, mini waffles, etc. I really wasn't expecting anything overall, but we definitely enjoyed our stay.

I've stayed here a few times over the years. I like it, but they recently renovated their bathrooms and it seems like the person designing them didn't have a lot of common sense. This year my clean towels were set on a little table. There were no racks in the bathroom at all so nowhere to hang the wet towels. The bathtub had new fixtures (including a rain shower) but no way to stopper the drain to take a bath. The biggest clueless improvement: they replaced the normal light with a motion sensor timer light. So as I was attempting to take a bath regardless of the draining problem, the lights kept going out. I assume I would have had the same problem taking a shower. They had a night light plugged into the outlet which provided ample light at night, but when I went to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the motion sensor main light blasted on as soon as I entered. If you've ever had bright lights turn on from complete darkness, it isn't enjoyable. Other than the bathroom renovation issues, my stay was enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was good. The rooms are always clean. I'll know next year to request a room that isn't on the 4th floor because the ice maker is there and it is very loud when people come to get ice. Also someone with at least two small screaming children checked in at around midnight and they continued to scream for at least an hour. I finally started up a white noise app on my tablet which helped. Not the fault of the hotel.

Location is very convenient, right across the street of a Chinese food court, a few minutes driving to the business location. WiFi is terribly slow. in the last 10 years, this is probably the slowest one I have had at a hotel. This definitely needs some improvement. Especially if the hotel would target people traveling for business as one of its primary groups of customers. On the 4th flow, it took very long time to get hot water. Lower floors were good.

I arrived Hotel at 1:30pm. I requested early check-in, but the hotel stuff said me that it is not possible early check in. Reluctantly, I was waiting in the lobby. 15 minutes later, this stuff "If you pay an early check-in fee $50, you can take a check-in soon". If so, he should say so from the beginning.

I booked a room months in advance for a concert and called the hotel a day before to ask about early check-in. The day before one staff member said to check back at 1 p.m tomorrow, while another insisted on day-of early check-in cost a fee or else it wasn’t possible. I arrived early day-of and as directed on the Hilton app, I confirmed my ID and credit card, and then waited patiently in the lobby until after the guaranteed 3 p.m. check-in time. Despite seeing other guests receive rooms, I was not notified. At 3:10 p.m., when inquiring again, the front desk staff seemed confused and without explaining anything, asked for a supervisor, later identified as Gabe. He asks for my ID and card again, and let him know I checked-in on the app and just needed my digital key, and he says: “Buddy, do you want me to help you or what?” Despite the tension, got my keys and went to my room. Shortly after, Gabe called my room to inform me that management had decided to cancel the reservation and evict us for allegedly making staff feel “threatened,” despite no raised voices or inappropriate behavior from us. My wife went downstairs to plead our case and was only able to resolve it after stressing that I was a Type 1 diabetic and needed to refrigerate insulin, and that we wouldn't file a complaint. What a way to ruin a night and weekend. Gabe gave conflicting stories about his position (claiming to be both “new” and the “operations manager”), and I fear he did this so we wouldn't complain.

First Hampton Inn I stayed where you are greeted with grumpy staff and torn sofa Worst thing was being distrubed three times during business meetings on my last day. I had paid and got stay extended for important meetings online. Despite calls to front desk (the person was rude), there were three interruptions for the duration I had paid for. Absolutely poor customer experience

My family decided to spend the night out of home, and we booked a room at this hotel. somehow as soon as we checked in and went to our room, we got the receptionist nook at our room saying some guests were complaining about us making noise and jumping all over the room. She was not very polite. We told her it was ridiculous for the complaint because we just got to the room and haven't even settled in. It had passed probably 5 minutes since we got to the room. We could not believe this kind of accusation. Then 10 minutes after that we got a phone call from the help desk saying there were other guest calling to complaint about us making a lot of noise. the kids were already on bed watching a movie and having a normal conversation.) Front desk person said that if they receive another complaint, they will come to the room to see what we're doing, if for some reason we got another complaint we will have to leave the hotel. My family always goes for road trips and have never experienced this kind of incident. Very poor judgment and guest service.

Staff was mostly good. I had a room that didn't have hot water. So had a cold shower the first night. They said they would look into it when I told them about it. But next the day same issue. Later found out they were doing construction on the floor below and had the hot water shutoff. That day, Gabe provided me with a place to shower and moved me to a different room that night.

There was rarely anyone at the front desk. We waited 30 minutes to check in on Day 1 as there was no one there to help us. They said it would be 30 minutes for our room to be ready and 1 hour 40’later we checked in. When the first of two smoke detectors began beeping in the room, I called downstairs but no one there. I finally located a member of housekeeping and she said she would take care of it. This morning at 4 am the other one in the room began beeping. There was no one to pick up the phone and the front desk is always empty. There is clearly a lack of staffing at this hotel and didn’t do Hilton proud.

We stayed here to be close to Levi's Stadium (The Rolling Stones concert!). We liked everything about this hotel (the 3rd and 4th floors are newly renovated) EXCEPT the room door and bathroom door slammed shut if you let it go (quite loudly) and the front desk only had one person working with a really long line of people checking in. The woman checking us in commented that they expected many more people to check in within the next 2 hours and she was the only one woeking the desk. In the hotels defense, I have since learned that this is part of the Hilton chain and that on-line check in is recommended.

Not a very good experience and would not be staying here again. The guest staying on the other side of us were very, very loud (I believe he had an escort in his room). Then they woke us up at 6am very loud again and their alarms ringing over & over non-stop. I understand them having sexual intercourse extremely loud is out of the hotels control, so I asked if they can allow us to have late checkout to catch up on rest/sleep. They allowed us so we were happy about that except that they have horrible communication. Housekeeping came knocking on our door before 11am check out. I told her that we had late check out at 12pm. They then knocked again waking us up at around 11am I had to tell housekeeping again that we had late checkout out. Then they came knocking a third time at around 11:20am waking us up yet again,same guy that I had asked about late check out was now knocking at the door. 3 people knocking! When checking out I waited 40 minutes - it was explained they had an emergency. The night we stayed the cops showed up because there was a domestic dispute & a man was drunk or under the influence fighting with his girlfriend. And the "emergency" was a man belligerent and/or under the influence. When asked to speak with the manager; front desk was rude and became very defensive. I said never mind, said thanks and walked out. Would never stay here. They also have the beds next to the adjoining doors - so you will hear EVEYTHING that goes on in a bed! You've been warned!

A standard/older Hampton Inn situated in a business area 35 minutes drive from San Fransico Airport. The hotel facilities were good, the breakfast was plentiful and the staff were friendly, especially the young lady at check in. Being situated in a business area, there wasn't much to see or do, so a car is essential. We used it as a base to do daily trips to places we wanted to see like Yosemite National Park or San Jose etc. The hotel is in a cul-de-sac across from a shopping precinct, primarily catering for Asian customers, where most of the restaurants are closed on Sundays or Monday nights, which made it difficult to find somewhere to have dinner, however on the other side of the freeway (4 min drive) there was another shopping area that had more options like Mexican, Noodles, Malaysian, Indian, sports bars and burger chains - but again get in early as many are closed by 8.00pm. Overall the hotel quality was not quite what we have come to expect from Hampton Inn but it comfortable and clean.

The room was fine, but the breakfast could use some variety. We've stayed at your hotel a number of times, and it never changes! While the little scones are good, a change of pastries would be nice.
