Room was clean but in need of some repair. The toilet paper hanger was broken off the wall. The bathroom vent cover was hanging, There was a hold in the wall from the door handle. The area has a lot of under housed and challenged people walking around. The parking lot safety lights were not turn on until 1.5 hours after dark and off 1.5 hours before dawn. When I inquired at the front desk the clerk showed me the instructions. Arrived at breakfast at 7:30. Very disappointing. They were out of coffee, bread, eggs, etc. There was 1 person looking after the set up. When something emptied it would take 10 minutes to refill. The waffle iron was very old and slow. Didn't even attempt it. Overall clean room but would not stay here again.

Merced is not easy to get to off 99, I can’t believe CA State has not fixed the city’s roads in 10 years (according to the hotel clerk) shame on you Sacramento! The exits to the town are closed and the detour takes your through the small, extremely rough country roads. But they were the only hotel I could find for the night. When I got there they assigned me a room that would not open (almost like someone was already in the room) the card blinked green on the auto lock but when I tried pushing open the door it was clearly bolt locked from the inside. When I finally did get an available room, it had no refrigerator and the only ice machine was at the far end of the building, a full block away from the office. Quiet room though and comfortable bed.

We booked the hotel last minute. There’s no elevator that we have to carry our luggage’s by stairs to second floor. In room there’s a refrigerator and microwave which is good. Breakfast was a mess, maybe they are running out of staff. Nobody cleaning the tables, flys are flying all over. Once it: past 9am the cutoff time, the staff starts taking away food and utensils.

The room was great for my wife and one daughter, clean plenty of parking, free breakfast for all three. I will definitely go back again for the price and the quality. The only down (and the hotel is NOT to blame for it) is how close to Hwy-99 traffic noise and railroad tracks.

The motel is close to the freeway and easy to find. The parking lot is spacious and convenient parking right in front of room. Eggs, potatoes, sausage and other choices available for breakfast in the lobby including coffee. Nice place to stay.

Unfortunately, my stay here was not a good experience. The room smelled, the carpet is very dirty, the bathroom had blood stains on the wall, and the house keeping ladies were very loud and opened our door without knocking. I will never be staying there again. The only good thing here was the front desk person, Ulysses, was very nice and courteous.

Know that the description of this property on Expedia is NOT ACCURATE! They list tempurpedic beds - this is a lie. The room lists a microwave - this is a lie. The room was filthy and the bedding had stains. We brought this to the attention of the hotel and were told it has been reported to Expedia and they refuse to update the listing! Beware! Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. The star rating does not reflect the actual property!

For the price I paid it was sufficient, breakfast was great, room was clean, bed was comfy, water was hot. Drawbacks: broken window blinds/no curtains- I could see people walking by when I was on the ground floor and I’m sure they could see me (especially when I’m sleeping). I guess you need to book a deluxe room to get a mini fridge and microwave, but even for basic I was expecting a coffee maker and an end table? I had to pull over the chair to the bed to set my things on. There was a desk, but it looked like the edges had been chewed on. The floor had stains, and I’m worried what I would find if I took the sheets off of the bed (the spring set and stand were all chewed up as well). If you’re look for something for under $100, this is it.

this is an OK days inn , even though this is one of the better properties in the area, it still has its problems. Booked the deluxe room because I wanted a refrigerator and the refrigerator didn't work, no back ups available. The room didn't even have a phone in it, which was weird. The room itself is nice. Nice bed ,cable TV ,with two restaurants right outside your door. Check their webpage for room descriptions hotel.com descriptions are out of date stating what you get in each room.

Overall it was a fine stay. One thing to mention. The new barn style bathroom door is not fitting correctly to the door frame. When closed, there is a large gap that exposes you using the restroom. The door also does not stay closed or lock.

Staffs were very nice. Double bed room was small. Shower water pressure was low. Hot water was not hot at all. Meduim sized towels looked like the floor rugs/towels from pther hotel stays we've been too. Hot breakfast was okay. Guests seemed to still be up at 3:00 AM. You can hear people talking outside.

We stopped just for one night passing through. The front desk staff was awesome, she tried to make our stay great. After we checked into the room, the room had a musky odor, not much lighting, chair was broken, the tv/remote did not work. Hotel does not have refrigerator or microwave. Room was kind of crowded with the 2 beds in one room.They do have a hot breakfast, kitchen staff not very friendly but breakfast was okay. Night shift front staff member was the positive part of stay. She went above and beyond to try to help us.

The room was rather small. It was clean and the ac worked. The tub faucet was a little tricky and leaked if not turned off exactly. The biggest issue was the semi's that come down the alley to the gas station and Denny's and unload in the early morning hours. Also the rooms are not very insulated against noise. We were on the first floor and could hear anyone returning to the hotel at any time. The staff was functional but not particularly friendly or out going in any capacity. We requested extra pillows through the check in process and did not get them. We specified that we had 3 adults traveling but only got 2 sets of towels. That was disappointing.

Multiple issues with this property. I stayed for 8 nights and housekeeping came only once even though I was told they’d come every other day. There are bugs in the room (tiny roaches and flies). The bathroom has a weird smell. The walls are so thin that I could hear people talking (in a normal voice) next door. I couldn’t sleep 2 nights because people were being loud. Finally, the area is a bit iffy (there is a gas station next door with sketchy individuals hanging out there, not to mention the police and ambulance which showed up on the parking lot one afternoon).

First let me say I’ve stayed here before but this time I stayed for 4 days. My mom is disabled and we stayed for 4 days. We asked for housekeeping on the second day, clean linens and towels. We’re told that no housekeeping until three days stay and no towels until later in the day! It was already 10 am. We waited until 2pm for 2 clean towels. As of Monday morning our floors have never been mopped, the rugs not vacuumed once nor the beds changed. It’s gross. Very very disappointing. I won’t stay here again nor can I recommend it.

Great hotel for the location, OK rooms with nice beds, cable, TV and Wi-Fi, very friendly staff. Front desk staff was quick and efficient with a check-in. Denny's and McDonald's right next-door. And within walking distance of a lot more restaurants and entertainment.

On check in,the receptionist was poor, bad attitude,told me the room I had reserved had not been cleaned (it was about 7pm).Room given on 2nd floor when it should’ve been 1st,later when I went to the front desk, a shift change occurred and she changed my room still 2nd floor though,but they both said that as I had two separate bookings I had to check out first then check in later the second day. In the morning before check out time I asked the receptionist the same question and said she could do the booking for me as I wanted to catch my tour bus to Yosemite and not leave my belongings in my car all day. HER NAME WAS GABRIELLE I THINK,excellent service and knew her job maybe not the other 2. A big thank to her.

When we first got there, our room Keyes did not want to work whatsoever. They “fixed” them four times and they still didn’t work, they then switched us to other rooms on the other side of the hotel and there was a strong malodor. After we complained about that, they showed us our original rooms by opening up the doors with a pair of screwdrivers. Those rooms weren’t any better either. which resulted in us having to book another hotel 10 minutes away. DO NOT PAY THE GUARANTEED RESERVATION FEE THROUGH EXPEDIA. - I paid extra for a guaranteed reservation through Expedia, and we where told at the place of booking that this fee was totally worthless, that we where gonna be given whatever room was left.

Very basic motel with a recient remodel, clean and kept up. The breakfast had eggs and meat. Not the hotels fault but the area is a bit dodgy and right next to a freeway. Maybe ask for the side away from the freeway if noise is bothersome. Otherwise an inexpensive basic stay hotel that has made it to comfortable.

Nice hotel, clean and tidy. Good breakfast. Nice staff. The only downside is that it was a bit noisy at night with kids playing in the parking and it's surrounded by two gas stations and a smoke shop, so it didn't feel great for children.

Too many homeless around here. Armed Robbery brake in at hotel front or office. 2 police car and many officers came our hotel. Location so bad. Do not stay this hotel

8/23/24 wait for two hour to check in because the internet doesn’t work. Gave the room 220 key doesn’t work. Got a new key and Went to room the bed never made and dirty. Gave new room 216 the coffee machine doesn’t work, no shampoo. Went to Breakfast at 7:30 am have to make your own waffles have three waffles machine and one was out of order. I don’t see any food left only cereal and coffee. Stayed there for two nights were horrible. I’m very disappointed and unsatisfied with the service. They had offered $20 discount back to bank. I’m not planning to go bather there again.

Stay here regularly when we visit daughter at UCM. Breakfast is good, and we've taken advantage of the Denny's discount for dinner as well. Good value for the price. We couldn't get an extra towel one time beyond the two supplied in a room for four people, but that's really pretty minor.
