The staff was friendly. The room was nice and clean. Parking was free. Everywhere else we looked they offered a reasonably priced room, but then got you with the super high parking fee. Wave Hotel parking ibcluded and had free Wi-Fi! Not a super fancy place, but definitely will use them again.

Property was fine for the price. However the pool was closed for the whole of our stay which was annoying as one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was for the pool. We only booked a day in advance so they must have known the pool was out of action, but no notice given at time of booking. Everything else about the hotel was good

Pool was out of service but we had a hot tub in our room which we loved it was a last-minute stay so I didn’t have much toiletries. I wish they would’ve had provided conditioner, but that’s the only complaint I could say. The air conditioning in our room was loud, but we just stayed one night.

Nice 20min walk down to the Manhattan Beach Pier. Easy location for getting to LAX for a flight. Large room. Pool was under construction, but we were just there for a quick overnight before we caught an early morning flight, so it was great for that.

The room was ok but the check-in was disingenuous. The web site advertises free parking and that was one reason I booked this property. Upon check-in (which was too late to cancel the reservation and get a refund) I was told that I would have to pay for parking. This resulted in an increased cost for my stay of over 10%. I tried to explain / negotiate this with the fro t desk but to no avail. Bottom line you can not trust their advertising or their customer service.

Great area near the beach, shopping and food options. Very safe. The hotel is easy to find and easy to park my car. The only cons that caused me to not give it a 5 star was the black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and sand all over the floors. We didn’t go to the beach but the floor was covered with sand when we arrived at the room. The curtains also had mold or mildew. The beds were super hard but I actually slept great on it. Definitely plan to stay here again.

Front desk guy was easy but not friendly, upon opening the door your hit with moldy wet smell, Bed was very stiff, and only 1 towel that was stiff and scratchy and smelled funny,no toiletry, shower was small and not tall enough for anybody over 5"7 (I'm 5"10) and I didn't spend the night, had an emergency and asked for a return and didn't get anything back, took the entire trip to get my return back for the deposit...ended up going to the winddrift Manhattan beach

The sheets in the bed were dirty with stains on it, the shower curtains were dirty, the parking didn’t had enough space for all the rooms so we had to park on the street anyways, breakfast was so poor, we went right when they opened and they only had left over of they day before, but the mainly problem is the cleaning, room was dirty, bed was dirty, bathroom was dirty

Do not stay here! This place was horrible! We booked 4 rooms and between them we found unclean linen, old food in the fridge and someone’s hat under a pillow on the bed. Our fridge also had a puddle of water under it. They changed one room but that room had cigarette holes on the blankets, stained sheets and holes in the curtains. The fridge also did not work. The beds were extremely uncomfortable with a metal base that was loud anytime something hit it. The worst part was the rooms were so dirty…months of dust on the curtains and high surfaces. They blamed a new maid but you can tell that it hadn’t been cleaned in months. People say you get what you paid for but cleanliness should not cost extra. The staff were unconcerned with the conditions of their hotel. We also noticed that the room with the puddle under the fridge and the unclean linens was rebooked without being cleaned.

Hotel looks nice with modern decor, fresh paint, and a great location. Staff were friendly and coffee was good. Room 103 had a strong musty, moldy smell from the bathroom drains that worsened after showering, and the same odor was outside near the pool. We got only 3 bath towels — no hand or face cloths. One mattress had poking springs and a loud metal frame. When my daughter asked for water, she was told to go across the street. Fixing the odor, beds, and basic amenities would make this a much better stay.

Incredible place to stay. Great location and comfortable, clean rooms. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Room doesn’t block out noise the best so if others are up late you can sometimes hear them easily but we didn’t feel like it was a major issue that ruined our stay by any means

The good: good location, clean and newly remodeled inside, helpful staff, almost perfect for an easy-going traveler ... except for the bad - The bad: the most horrible mattress, worse than anywhere in the world I've traveled in my 55 years (and I started traveling international at 14yo); spring poking thru the thin cover, hard and uneven with all the springs being felt all through the body. I got almost no rest, twisted and turned all night. A shame because I have low standards and I would have easily get over small inconveniences, but I won't visit again unless they promise to have replaced the mattresses. The bed frame was also made on thin metal and if you only touch it, it would make a loud bang almost to wake up the neighbors. Maybe I just got the wrong room but that was my experience

This area is very nice, we decided to walk to dinner both nights and felt very safe doing so. Rooms were absolutely huge. We booked the family suite which was two full rooms and two full bathrooms. So nice with 5 people to not share a bathroom! My only suggestions for improvement: 1. Do not charge your guests for parking. There is nowhere to park but the garage, and charging an extra 10 dollars a night seems very cheap and leaves a bad taste for everyone. 2. Breakfast was nothing but carbs, so we had to spend about 150+ more on our trip to eat breakfast at a restaurant. Might have been better off booking a hotel that was more expensive but had healthier breakfast options. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and suggest it for other families. It was also bargain pricing compared to hotels in the area.

The hotel seems newly renovated. It has a lot of updated furniture. But they don’t have a rack to hang towels. The bed frame was made of metal and it made getting in and out of bed very noisy. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows made for great sleeping. We will stay again

Hi, the clerk on duty was very friendly and welcoming and made sure there was some breakfast for us before 6am. The property was mostly nice but the outlets by the bed in the room didn't work unless the crazy colored lights above the bed were on. The mattress was well worn and we felt the springs. Price was right and served our needs though. Thank you!

For the price, good value. Recently remodeled . Beds foundations are lined with sheet metal that every time you bump into them even lightly they make a crashing sound !!!!! Consider this if you are bringing kids or anyone even slightly clumsy ….

longtime customer. disappointed they are now charging for parking. OK, I can accept that. when I ask why, the answer I got was this; There is a lot of unauthorized parking taking up our spaces and we are now charging for parking tags to display in the vehicles. so I say that is not preventing any unauthorized parking, it is just punishing the guests. After a little bit of back-and-forth, I lose that argument. no big deal. Also, I find out that the spa suite I reserved has broken plumbing so they changed my room without notice. The plumbing broke two days ago. They gave me a bigger room but it is not the same in amenities. I asked for compensation from the wave as well as expedia. I have not received. Later that evening (or the next morning), I find a TWO vehicles (without a parking tag) parked in TWO spaces each. That is FOUR spaces taken up by unauthorized parking. I was told that the manager lets his friends park on the property. I send an email to management explaining my disappointment and that I think it is a slap in the face to customers who have to now pay for parking. a couple of days later in the parking garage, one of the vehicles in question pulls behind my car and blocks it in the space.

Great customer service. Called them in the middle of the night regarding concern of my credit card being cut off. I was assured a debit card would be fine. Check in was easy. Was given a card with WiFi info. Was also told 6-9 there is free breakfast. There is a microwave in the hallway to use. They have a nice small pool. The rooms look just like the picture. The bed is very comfortable. I had a room with a king bed. The room comes with a refrigerator. Tv and channels worked fine. Shower was nice so was bathroom. Check out very very quick and simple. I would stay here again. It’s a 30 min walk to the beach. It’s also by restaurants and target.

There was blood on the sheets and mattress pad! No answer when we called down so went to desk and remade the bed. Next day DO NOT DISTURB sign on door, they disregarded the sign and entered our room anyway. Invasion of privacy. After complaining, the guy at the desk said we wouldn’t have to pay. No refund and when I called they pretend that they don’t speak English. THE MOST DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL PLACE! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Very unprofessional employee. I booked a family suite and he checked us into a double bed room. Went back to request the appropriate room and he told me they were overbooked, meanwhile, I booked and paid two months in advance. He grudgingly got us a family suite without any apologies. The hotel is in a great location with the beach area walkable. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Biggest issue is charging a 100 dollar deposit ( not just a hold) and 4 days later it’s still not been refunded. Also they put deposit, parking and room through on card as three separate entries with card on hold in rapid succession which caused the card to be blocked

The property was great and the place was really great. One washer and one dryer available. Breakfast was not ok though, and that was the only issue. The reason i say this is because the things wrong seem easily fixable. Once the Breakfast room opened what was offered ran empty really quick. Two toasters available but they are sharing one outlet so one didn't work. Waffle machine but no syrup or anything.

Staff were very friendly. Site was a bit on the noisy side with kids running around and being loud, and traffic. Very disappointed with the breakfast. Hours were on the short side and when I arrived at 8:30 everything was pretty much cleaned out.

1. Breakfast was absolutely basic and almost nothing to eat other than cereal. 2. Towels smelled terrible…musty/moldy smelling 3. Room was half cleaned. Bed was not turned in, dirty wash cloth left behind, tiny bottle of body wash not replaced. 4. TV had a big scratch across the front. A super basic motel…not as good as the ratings it has been given.
