Plenty of free parking; nice lobby and breakfast area that appeare to have been remodeled not too long ago; kids loved the swimming pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping could be better; the room we stayed in (in upper floor) is in need of updating. The hotel is conveniently located near freeway entrance and exit, and some decent restaurants and cafes nearby, including some that are well within walking distance.

Clean but some parts of the bathroom door was about to fall off. Smoke odor in hallway 2nd floor. Carpet needs a deep shampoo. Overall fine to stay at. Security always patrolling lot. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby.

Pet friendly and pet potty stations (2), love the quiet rooms which is important to us, I don't like to hear the neighbors TV or toilet! Good breakfast selection, free parking and love the linens on bed and towels always look new. Cons, elevator floors are always sticky, water dripping in shower/bath, rooms need paint touch up and carpets on floor 2 and 3 to the rooms needs replacing

The room and hallway smell was horrible. Appeared to be urine spots that were bleached in the hallway carpet. The room had a dog odor. Breakfast was limited. I will not be returning to this hotel. If you have pets this may be the place for you.

Dirty carpets in rooms. My white socks were black from walking on carpet. 2 swivel chairs would have been nice. The one chair was heavy and not even n wheels. The sofa was dirty. The bed was very comfortable but hard to get onto for anyone less than 5ft. The parking was good, front desk friendly. Breakfast was awful.

1 - The Continental breakfast was ok but staff is rushing you to take everything away so they can clean when still early. 2 - Carpet very dirty in the room hallways. 3 - Main Lobby and Elevator was extremely dirty. 4 - Room light bulbs were not working, AC unit was very noisy, shower diverter spout malfunctioning, our room was not cleaned either and had to ask for more towels.

This hotel is old and in serious need of a remodel or better upkeep. The carpet in the room was dirty and smelled like dirty feet.. the bathroom was dirty as well. Old furniture too. I paid WAY too much to stay here. $185 a night was a rip off. Just because it’s in La Palma doesn’t mean it’s worth that price.

The lobby is presentable. Staff was nice. But from the elevators and up it’s dirty! Elevators and hallway to the room smelled like urine. Carpet is stained, walls are dirty. Bathroom tub was clogging. Awful experience for a stay at a La Quinta property. The hotel needs serious deep cleaning/ renovations. Would never stay here again.

From the outside and the lobby everything looks good, but as soon as you step out of the elevator or look at any hallway carpet you will be shocked. It is the dirtiest and most stained carpet I have ever seen. I travel with dogs so I am aware things happen, but the pee smell in our room was super strong. I have stayed at a lot of dog friendly places, but this was the worst by far. I am sure housekeeping does the best they can, but stained chairs and sofa and dirty floors make for an uncomfortable stay.

I stayed on the fifth floor, and the hotel barely had any hot water for showers after 5 PM. The water from the sink was hotter than the shower. I stayed for three nights, and it was like this every day. Apart from the lack of hot water for showers and poor soundproofing, everything else was pretty good, but I don’t want go again.

Hallway carpets were very stained and didn't look great. Room was ok. No fridge or microwave. The pull out couch was sub-standard. The shower had a small hole in the fitting which shot water outside of the shower. The room felt very dated and not restored well. There was some activity outside in a parking lot that had music and partying until 230am. So definitely didn't get much sleep. Didn't try breakfast since I was ready to go.

If you need a bed and like access to the plethora of foodie options and the theme parks this is OK. Honestly though, this place needs serious renovations. I only stayed here to try it. I normally stay at the Sheraton. It’s day and night, but this could be day, too, if they just put some love into and erase the past. The end.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Double beds are small for two adults and pillows are super soft, no firmness to them. Bring your own! Bathroom had a fan that didn't work (made loud sound when turned on) and the vent cover fell off during our stay. Bathtub had a SUPER leaky faucet that sounded like someone was peeing all day/night and the leaking hot water caused the bathroom to constantly feel like a sauna. The free breakfast was 'ok' but one of the waffle makers broke the first day we were there so this caused a longer wait time. No proteins were available, only hard-boiled eggs. Hostess was a little moody, but maybe we all are in the morning.

Beds are doubles which for an avg size are small and very uncomfortable. Bathrooms have these weird double folding doors that you have to close exactly in unison. Breakfast was mostly continental type-cold items w oatmeal as the only hot item I saw. No eggs, bacon, potatoes and limited fruit selection.

The TV was not working, I attempted to call front desk and there was no answer so it was never fixed. Many of the electrical outlets in our room were non functional. There was no lock on the restroom door and they were old so they did not shut completely.

I liked the rooms & the ease of booking/checking in/out. Also, The front desk staff were able to personally get me in my room when both my keys had somehow stopped working on my door. What I didn't like was we were placed in between two families w/children who were allowed to be in the halls before 7am on Sunday. They were together obviously and back/forth with eachother all morning until we checked out. Also the shower curtain wasn't on correctly & didn't close & the bath had a leaky drip all night.

Great place. Needs some repairs such as water damage in the bathroom ceiling. Service was some of the best I've ever had. Room was clean, just needs some updating. Beds were comfy. Alarm clock had nice variety of plugs for phones. Breakfast was decent. Not a ton of protein. Lots of carbs. In a nice area with tons of food and shopping nearby.

The complimentary breakfast was nice and the front staff was always polite. Their toilets arent the best because it clogs so easily where you have to request a plunger from the front desk. I was there for 4 days and not once did my room get cleaned or did I get brought clean towels or anything. I was told they clean rooms every few days but I guess its closer to once a week that these get cleaned. All the doors are locked 24/7 so if you dont have your key, you are locked out of even entering the hotel and have to buzz the front to let you in. It was a nice stay but needed improvements.

Tommy was fantastic! Very accommodating! We left another hotel due to it being a complete disaster. We arrived from Canada at midnight and Tommy was so patient kind and caring. He was able to help us find a great room. The hotel was central to everything and was a very lucky find. We will stay again.

We stayed here for 5 nights and the housekeeping was only done once, so I am not satisfied because we rented two large rooms and there were 4 people in each room. They should change the bath towels every day. The bed sheets were only changed once.

Voiced my concern about the temperature of the hot water. Left for dinner and when I returned we had HOT water. I could have not understood how the faucet worked but the point is they got right on to the problem and fixed it. Greatly appreciated. They were even willing to move me to another room. Great job.

My booked this as I’ve stayed at other La Quinta locations before and was impressed by the comfort and breakfast. This particular location was extremely convenient for freeway access and access to Knotts Berry Farm. Disneyland is also only 12 minutes away. The overall experience was great. My son is on the spectrum and they were very accommodating. Cleanliness was good but I guess unless you ask, they will not service your room. The mattress was a little sunken in. The temperature control was good and easy. It is a little dated as the windows were scratched up. The bathroom doors were most inconvenient as they seemed like you were opening a closet. The breakfast was a basic continental style; cereal, bagels etc. Another property I stayed at had hot options, so this was a little disappointing. Food access within walking distance is ok but mostly fast food. Overall, I would stay again. Good place.

Overall stay was good. I’d probably stay again. Down side was tons of people for breakfast & not enough seating. Room was pretty clean but someone’s hair was on the wash cloth and shower floor. Kinda gross. Couldn’t adjust temp for refrigerator so whatever we put in there, froze. Took a while for elevators. 1set for busy place. 10min drive to Knotts berry farm
