Good hotel. Only issue was shuttle coordination pickup from the airport. You have to call to arrange. I had to call 3 times. It took 45 minutes to get picked up. It's seems like the shuttle was not notified the first call. They have multiple shuttles and I think someone just dropped the ball. I'm sure it's a shorter wait normal. Just make sure you call to follow up if you're waiting too long.

I responded to the initial reaching out for feedback from the owners of this property thinking they would respond. Since they decided not to, I will share what I said a week ago. Thanks for checking. We would not stay again. It was pretty terrible. Starting from waiting an hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle after our first call. Hair in the shower when we got there. The carpet was wet, maybe from the nonworking AC unit. It never dropped lower than 71 even though we had it set lower. On the ground at the bottom of the first bed there is flooring missing (maybe from the wet carpet), but carpeted over that makes the ground unstable. The screen door didn’t seal all the way towards the top and it was so noisy from the main road. There is practically no countertop space on the bathroom! The positives. The breakfast was very very nice and the breakfast employee was super friendly and kind. The gentlemen that checked us in was also kind. I also enjoyed that there was an exercise room. That being said. The cons for sure outweighed the pros.

We had to book a room last minute due to a cancelled flight. The room was NOT as pictured on line, which was very disappointing. It smelled musty, the tub was stained, and the air conditioner was dripping water on the carpeted floor, so we stepped in cold water every time we walked to the bathroom. We were only needing the room to get about 6 hours of sleep before our rescheduled flight, so we didn’t call to complain to the front desk since that would have certainly taken up our much needed rest time, but the whole experience was so bad that I will probably never trust Hotels.com again, nor will I stay at a Fairfield Inn.

Breakfast was the same everyday of the five days we were there; first day eggs were nice and fluffy but dry the remainder of the days. When we reported water leak from air conditioner, the staff wasn’t prompt in attending to the issue. When they finally attended to the issue, they left the air conditioner off. There was a damp smell in the room.

All the staff were wonderful. The building itself is very old and our room smelled like mildew. The AC unit was leaking and the carpet below was wet wich probably contributed to the musty odor. I let the front desk know about the AC unit on my way out, it was too late and I was too tired to call the same night. Only needed hotel for 1 day. Rooms are pretty small.

The hotel is convenient for LAX with the free shuttle. We arrived early (10am), so pleased we could leave our bags and go off for the day. Arrived back at 3.30 and disappointed our 2 rooms were not ready even though check in was from 3pm and they knew we had arrived earlier. Room was spacious and comfortable,.however sound proofing not great - were woken both nights by other inconsiderate guests arriving and stomping around. Not the hotels fault, but think there should be more signs to be considerate to other guests, especially for late night arrivals. Had 2 pool view rooms, although one (room 119) although around the pool was completely blocked by floor to ceiling hedge outside! Actual pool waa a great facility, with pool towels provided. Also coffee & tea avaiable at all times in lobby/dining was very good.

This Fairfield was a historical hotel in LA so the building and the room was a bit dated but charming and spacious. The sliding door next to my bed didn’t close all the way (the lock in it seemed to be broken) so I could hear the crowd having a great time in the patio area. It wasn’t late at all but I wanted to get to bed early so it was a bit annoyance for me. The shuttle service was a great service and the driver was so sweet and helpful all the way to the airport.

Ice machine was next to our room rather than in a stair well - don’t check into room 131 - really not a smart design, people using it all night and extremely loud. Staff did the best they could - check in was over two hours - was not a great experience. Location is great, I would stay there but not anywhere the ice machine.

The place has a beautiful patio area. The room appeared clean and spacious and close to many restaurants (In & Out) and grocery store. Now the issues AC was not working left for a while came back and AC was still not working. When we walked in, we asked if the AC was working they answered, “yes, it should be working”. Needless to say it was hot and it still not working. The same problem with my brother in laws room.

I tried to call hotel prior to arriving to get information about early check in and parking. Every time I called a person would answer and literally hang up on me. Then I emailed the hotel and I never got an answer back. Upon Arriving early , I was told my room was ready but that I couldn't check in until 4, it was 11:30. If I wanted my room , I could pay an additional $46. The parking was an additional $55, even though on hotels.com.It says it's free. They informed me that all third party reservations were wrong. The Check-in was rude and unwilling to work with me at all.I would not suggesting at this hotel.

Staff trained in apologies, not in actions - they are not prepared to handle their group/crew check ins, therefore individual travelers have to wait and wait and wait. Of course, because they run you through the online-checkin just to not honor it, neither the digital key in the Marriott bonvoy app, "we don't do that, we need to check everything". Suboptimal processes, they should open a counter for individuals or groups/crews, however, it needs to be optimized. Checked out the 1st of June, were promised to get a 50% discount via the cc Expedia has on file - not yet happened after 2 weeks. Why? 1st room: extremely moldy smell, "wet" flooring. On requesting another room, we were asked to stay in a King instead a 2 queens one - no. So we got the room next to the previous. A bit lesser smell, still moldy smell, had to be sprayed every day (...that's just to cover up the reason for it, isn't it), door to the room hard to open, really needed a hard push, wear/ tear of furniture, not nice, though asked daily, no refill of the conditioner. Did they have a water leakage as the hallway had to be blown with a big dryer/vent? Really an unprofessional impression and for sure below Standard for the chain as in comparison with other hotels in this price range. Had the feeling, that individual travelers were aligned those rooms in the "old" part of the hotel, the not standard one, whereas the groups/crews all went to the new West tower. Be aware, the 50$ pN parking lot is uncovered.

Waited over an hour for check in after midnight on a Thursday. There was only one agent working the entire line of at least 20 ahead of us and more behind. The man was very patient and nice, but the hotel should be better staffed as he said he is always alone throughout the week. When we finally got to the room it smelled SO BAD like straight cat litter. We were exhausted after flying 6hrs and had a toddler to get to sleep so we just dealt with it but it was absolutely pungent.

The front desk staff was polite and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel fit my needs. However, I took a couple of stars off because of the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the airport shuttle driver. He was grumbling and complaining in Spanish when he lifted a couple of our suitcases. Granted they were on the heavy side, but he didn’t have to cuss us out. When we reached our destination and stayed at another hotel in a different city, the driver gladly helped with our heavy suitcases and didn’t utter any complaints. When I said “they are heavy, he simply replied ‘no worries, that’s why I’m here for’. Such contrast!!

Check in was terrible (20 minute wait time for myself while I’m sure others were over 30 since the line was out the doors of the lobby). They tried asking if I still needed the double bed room I had booked (of course I did so this question concerned me that what I booked wasn’t available). Once we made it up to the room the overwhelming smell of mildew chocked us and we couldn’t even open the balcony door to fumigate. The airport shuttle service is slow and drivers are in no hurry (ours was 15 minutes late picking us up for the airport). Overall incredibly disappointed and when we spoke to staff they didn’t care

Marriott has lost my trust completely. I was double charged for a single stay, and instead of fixing their mistake, both the hotel and corporate customer service passed the blame to Expedia—even though the duplicate charge came from Marriott’s own property. This has dragged on for weeks, tying up my money, and no one has taken responsibility. If this is how Marriott treats paying guests when there’s a clear billing error, I can’t imagine how they handle bigger issues. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and warning others to think twice before booking with them.

Loved the location! Grocery store accross street. Mostly fast food and 7/11 in easy walking distance. Short taxi or uber to shopping and better restaurants. Breakfast good. Pool area inviting. Great shuttle to LAX. Would definitely book again.

The property is old and unattractive. There are no decent restaurants in the vicinity - just fast food everywhere. The prices at the bar are expensive. The only good thing is the shuttle bus. There isn’t even any milk in the room to make a tea or coffee and was told at reception that none was available.

I liked everything. Delicious Breakfast, comfortable & clean Queen size beds & refrigerator in the room. Also coffee, tea, water & microwave in the lobby 24/7. And a bar. Good closet space & plenty of drawer space. Internet & printer & free WiFi. A Metro Bus right outside for transportation anywhere! Helpful & friendly staff. Free shuttle service to and from the Airport. Doesn’t have a dinner restaurant but has all kinds of available restaurants right outside their door. Very very convenient and affordable & enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this LA Fairfield hotel.

The room was clean & neat. The breakfast was not great. Everything is served in or on paper plates & cups. The atmosphere was like a cafeteria, hard to find a table to sit at. No kettle teabags or milk in room to make a cup of tea. You have to go down to the lobby to make a cup and sometimes there was no milk and staff couldn’t give me any. Not good for someone who enjoys their tea, not everyone drinks coffee.

This hotel was better than we expected. It was a convenient stopover for a night before flying home. The airport shuttle was very helpful, and the staff were also very obliging with luggage storage. The hotel breakfast breakfast buffet was the best we had on our US trip with large selection and quality food. There was a nice outdoor area and pool which we saw but didn’t get to use. The late check out was also handy. Nice comfortable beds and clean bathroom

Brandy, the bar tender was so awesome. I was on my own, and she did everything to make sure I was safe, including getting me food from a local take out place, because I did not know how to do Door Dash. I cannot say enough about her. She is an awesome woman and you are lucky to have her. The shuttle drivers to and from the airport were kind and helpful. I am over 70 and they helped me so much. The room was ok. The bathroom had a weird rusty thing that was disturbing. You need to fix that. The person at check in went out if his way to get me in early (I flew in from Australia and was so so tired). The breakfast eggs were terrible. Just saying. The prices for your “snacks” were outrageous. And if I were you I would offer information on food delivery. Just a thought. All in all, I was satisfied. But improvements could be made.

I was particularly impressed by the breakfast. While it’s not “world class”, it’s still very good for this level of stay at this price point. I thought the three gentlemen running it were extremely efficient about keeping all the food selections fully stocked and clearing the tables. That makes a huge difference in how enjoyable the experience is.
