What guests think

At La Quinta by Wyndham Phoenix Chandler, travelers consistently praise the friendly staff, convenient I-10 location near dining and shopping, and generally comfortable, budget-minded rooms, while reporting mixed cleanliness and maintenance, especially aging bathrooms, slow drains, and occasional odors.

Common facility complaints include unreliable or out-of-service elevators, faulty exterior and room door locks or key cards, and pool or hot tub closures or cleanliness issues. Breakfast is frequently described as decent but repetitive, sometimes running out or served cold, and service can be brusque. Rooms near the freeway and thin walls can mean noticeable noise. Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The pool opens at 9am which is unfortunate because I woould've enjoyed morning swims before heading out each day. Room service is every three days unless you request something else. Complementary breakfast was decent for a hotel.

Most of the area is good and clean but something that they have to work on it is 1- key card entries is very bad it’s not working most of the time. 2- the shower needs to renovate ASAP because the water shower is going all of the places and you can’t control it and it needs ventilation in the bathroom too Other than that it’s not bad for the money that I paid.

Both Elevators need some cosmetic TLC and the elevator furthest from the front desk needs some operational repair on the doors. The front desk staff were absolutely amazing...friendly, welcoming & courteous. The hot breakfast included enough options to keep everyone happy and it was well maintained and stocked. Lots of safe, well lit parking and a Cracker Barrel is right next to the hotel. We also really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and pool, which support ADA mobility requirements.

This property needs some serious TLC. The shower was stained black. The vents looked like they had never been cleaned, caked on with dust and grime. The carpet had multiple stains that were hard and crusty. There is no daily maid service. No trash cans in the hallway. The elevator appears on its last legs. The spa was cloudy and gross. The location was convenient and the check-in was easy. They offer a free breakfast but it’s very basic. I would not stay here again.

We came in for a night to get some rest. Arrived around 10:00 pm. The staff was nice but our room was dirty the tub was rusty the floors were dirty. The gentleman at the counter was very nice but when asked about parking he said park in the front or on the side but I would not recommend the back. That alone made us uncomfortable from the start. We went to bed and left by 6:00am the next day.

We accessed our room from the rear entrance, the door is supposed to be secure using your room key, but the lock was broken, so anyone could come in the back, avoiding the front desk. This made me feel uneasy.

This hotel is well located for mid-south Phoenix Chandler. We stayed here to take our family to Zoolights and it was an easy 20 minute drive. The room was clean, the bed uncomfortable. The common areas need a thorough cleaning and maintenance. We checked out the breakfast area and only saw the cereal, juice, mini-muffins etc. We did see a gentleman eating a sausage as we were leaving so think there was hot breakfast in a room to the right of the breakfast bar. The door was closed to it when we were looking so can’t say for sure. Overall it was a pretty mediocre experience which is a shame because it is so well located for us when visiting the area. Mostly someone from corporate needs to go give it a good inspection and jack up the cleaning crew and maintenance.

Close to where we needed to be. Beds were not comfortable- pillows were so so. Water pressure was average. You could link netflix up to the tv which was cool so we didnt have to watch news. Blackout curtains kept it nice ans dark. Pool was unkept along with hot tub. Overly warm water. Breakfast was the same everyday sausage links and eggs. Breakfast lady was very rude and didnt want to be there. Syrup nozzle wasnt working so she told people lemme just move this so i dont have to keep hearing it. We always stay at La quintas but prob wouldnt be back to this location.

I had requested a late check out for an additional charge. I returned to the hotel after lunch to discover that my key card didn't work. I spoke with the front desk person, he told me that they didn't have anything showing a late check out. He had already ran my card for an addition day at $156.92. Said he would credit me. He then proceeded to charge me another $54.99 for the late check out. I called the hotel once I saw the additional charges. They charged me the extra day and the original late check out fee of $30.00. The clerk told me a credit for the additional day had been refunded and she would credit me the $30.00.and have the manage call me. I was only refunded $101.93 of the $$156.92 and still haven't seen the $30.00 and no phone call from the manager. Very poor communication and customer service!

Front-desk staff, Akim, was so helpful and wonderful. After a 5:35 a.m. flight into Phoenix and breakfast with friends, we arrived at the hotel at 10:15 a.m., prepared to hang in the lobby until a room was ready for us. He found one quickly, and it made all the difference in the world to be able to shower, rest, and unpack before we met with other locals for a long day of activities. Set a great tone for the trip, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room was nice and clean enough. Biggest complaints were cards easily getting demagnetized, parking, and the shower was terrible (terrible water pressure, terrible shower head, water didn't get warm enough) The staff was very kind, breakfast was really good, the pool was enjoyable ( pool towels were garbage tho) and the property was overall well maintained and in a VERY convenient location off a major highway.
