Hotel lobby was beautifully renovated. Room was clean and comfortable. Elevator was out of order and had to use stairs to access room. Breakfast was for sale but food was not fresh. Yogurt cup had mold. Staff was very pleasant and took care of the issue.

The beautiful pool (in the photos) are completely misleading. The pool is disgusting, has a green ting to the water that leads me to believe the chemical levels aren't checked. There was brown slimy algea all over the pool bottom and it looks as though they havent skimmed the pool or ran the vacuum in atleast a month. I chose this hotel specifically for the pool.

The pool was not open. I asked because it said may. It is June 21 and they could not give a reason. Just not open. No working ice machine on my floor. Front service was mean about breakfast and paying extra when there were extras.

Pool was drained, dry, and full of old algae. After driving and moving a family member, I was looking forward to a dip in the pool, so very disappointing that there is really no pool. The room was clean but in the bathroom there was only 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth, 1 K-cup in room for 2 people. Are we going to share the 6 oz of coffee? Fan in bathroom didn't work, lighting was either too dark or too bright, was overcharged for room rate v. Expedia booking (I'll let Expedia know) so don't for pay Sonesta expectations on this one. Some lonely guys hanging out in the lobby for several hours didn't help, sorry, but it felt like a retirement home.

We chose this hotel for three specific reasons, proximity to the Lowell Folk Festival, Price and that it had a pool. In this instance the pool was the most important feature. It's Summer, it's hot and the festival began at noon and lasted until ten pm or so. Our plan was to attend the festival, enjoy music and around 5pm check in and enjoy the pool for an hour to cool off before returning to the event. Upon check-in we were told the pool wouldn't be available until Sunday, the morning we were checking out, something about having chemicals added, etc. The folk festival was a lot of fun, the room was excellent, great water pressure and air conditioning. I know sometime things are out of our and a hotel's control, we managed to make the best of the situation. Would we stay there again? Yes, but if one of the main reasons for staying was access to a pool, I guess we'd call ahead on day of check in to make sure there were no issues.

Room carpeting filthy. Animal odor disgusting. No microwave in room - all have to share in the lobby. Upon arrival in room the ice bucket was filled with rotted fruit and fruit flies. Animal urine stains in elevator carpet. Television would not change chanel or shut off - 10:30 pm had the have desk clerk fix. Never again - would not recommend.

There was a dead mouse in the room. The hotel knew there were mice because they had glue traps but no one was checking them. I called downstairs and they came to pick up the mouse. All I got was "oh sorry." Terrible experience.

Room was clean and nice but I was in an awful room in the corner by the stairwell. You could hear everything. People walking and closing the outside door. I had a child who couldn’t sleep to well because how loud it was.

Walls and even ceiling are very thin, we could here people regardless of how loud they appeared to be speaking. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, SUPER clean room. Front desk staff personable and pleasant. Would stay again.

It’s a decent property; clean, and plenty of parking. My only suggestion would be to put microwaves in the rooms. There is one in the lobby for all guests. I do have to say that the microwave was spotless!

The room I was assigned was quiet and out of the way, which I appreciated. However, the thermostat was not attached to the wall (although the tape that had been used to try to keep it attached was), and there were some spiderwebs in the room. I wish that I had realized (and that it had been more clearly stated) that this hotel only offers maid service if it is requested. Location is great for visiting folks in Chelmsford.

Disappointed. I was told that I could have breakfast on the house due to having to be moved into a clean room. My first room was full of garbage. The breakfast was non-existent. The Boy who works in the breakfast deli was 30 min late to work! And then proceeded to tell me he had no breakfast available. I was pissed because I had an 8:30 meeting in Lowell. No coffee - no breakfast food … nothing! Second time in a row that I stayed there and this same problem occurred. They need to fire that boy. He also smoked outside the door everytime I went in and or out, tossing his cigarette butts all over the grass. Gross - Dirty and disappointing.

Staff accidentally made a room key for someone else for my room, my room key didn't work after that, they never admitted fault and then asked me to leave instead of fixing the issue. Staff is horribly trained in hospitality, I worked in a 5 star hotel for years. I didn't expect 5 star service but I expected to have keys to my own room and an egregious mistake to be corrected. Never was made whole or apologized to.

Elevator wasn’t working so we lugged luggage up 3 floors, they did offer to make the maintenance guy carry it for us. Hot water went out one day and running brown water, they couldn’t give an ETA for fix. Ended up missing plans because of the water situation, and ended up showering in this water anyways. Very noisy people, I think there are people living in this property. Spoke with Jennifer (sales director) about problems, and she said she would speak with the GM. We still haven’t heard back! If I were the GM I would have been appalled at the feedback I gave them. Will not stay here again, or any other Sonesta most likely. The day we checked it we asked about early check-in, they couldn’t even call us back and say they couldn’t accommodate. When we checked in, they were already talking about hot water heater issues. If this wasn’t prepaid, I would have canceled and went somewhere else. Can’t believe the GM would just ignore my issues because we booked through a third party. Bad customer service, just wanted to be heard and helped.

The elevator was out, didn’t have body wash in shower even after asking for it three times! Light didn’t work above the coffee. They didn’t clean our room so we ran out of towels and wash clothes. Hair dryer didn’t work. Had to ask multiple times to get what we needed. WAY TOO MUCH money to get this kind of service. So disappointing.

The overall stay suited the trip we had to take. However, the hotel was not in walking distance from anything, the pool was under maintenance and with the hot weather it would have been nice if it was open. The ice machine didnt work and breakfast was a paid option. It would have been nice if parking at the hotel was free. They charge you a daily rate to park in the lot. The food truck option on Friday night was cool! The cleaning staff was amazing and accommodating to getting us checked in early.

Do not choose this hotel. They did not even provide a cup of complementary coffee for breakfast. We had to leave the hotel at 6:25 am for our flight and while we didn't really want a "breakfast", they only had a mini-Starbucks menu and a small coffee was $3.00. Come on Sonesta! You can afford to brew an urn of coffee for your customers!

Pool was not available. Evening check-in clerk was efficient, all business, and not particularly friendly. Housekeeping service had to be requested 24 hours ahead. No complimentary breakfast. On the plus side, the bed was VERY comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room at a constant temperature with no noise.
