What guests think

At Arion Athens Hotel, many travelers highlight the central, walkable location near Monastiraki and Psiri, welcoming staff, and a rooftop terrace with striking Acropolis views, while rooms and amenities are basic, occasionally small, and some furnishings could use updating.

Housekeeping and overall cleanliness receive frequent praise, though there is an isolated report of bed bugs. Breakfast is commonly described as good to decent, with adequate variety, but some found it simple or desired more variety. Some streets feel gritty and access by car can be tricky; expect a straightforward, value-focused base for sightseeing.

Rated as 3 star but it is high end of it. Very nice and classy hotel, very clean. Front desk was very helpful. There was no coffee machine in the room but they provided a kettle. Roof top view at night is amazing. unfortunately we didn't get a room with a balcony. Plaka is walking distance and nice and safe to walk around around 10pm. Lots of eating area arouind this hotel. Roads are very narrow so taxi's may not able to come to the hotel all the time, but only small walk

This is wonderful 3 star hotel in the best location just outside of the Plaka area. It was quiet as across from a church - our room faced the street. A decent breakfast is included and just a block from a busier square with many good restaurants. The room was clean & big enough for our 3 day stay and the bed was comfortable.

Last minute booking and was very impressed with the visit. Very kind staff. Very clean property. The area was in a great location and very walkable. The only thing was that in my specific room the WiFi would go in and out but that did not impact my stay at all! Would stay here again.

The rooftop view is just incredible!! Beautiful roof top. Location is great and easily accessible to walk out and explore, see the sites, grab public transportation. I only stayed one night and had to leave too early to grab breakfast. Might be the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, but hotel is nice and quiet/comfortable. Nice, clean bathroom - standup shower only in my room. I chose this hotel specifically for the rooftop and location. A perfect stunner for the last night of my time in Athens.

Arion is a great hotel located perfectly in the Monastiraki/Psiri neighborhood, a couple of minutes from the Monastiraki metro station. I traveled light so it was a convenient walk from the station to the hotel. There are lots of restaurants and stores near the hotel. Everything is pretty much in a walkable distance from the hotel. The breakfast is decent. They serve eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, olives, yogurt, tea and coffee, fruit, cereal, all kinds of cookies, croissant and bread, a variety of jams, etc. The staff is absolutely amazing. A shoutout to Stavros - he’s the best! So is Nikos! They both were extremely helpful and very nice. Thank you very much!
